The Democrat left has developed a bizarre and frankly gross fixation on Erika Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk — policing her grief as if it’s theirs to manage. They’ve decided she’s “not grieving correctly,” as though there’s some approved script for how a young mother is supposed to mourn her husband after a politically motivated assassination.

And let’s be honest: it’s a rigged game. If Erika dares step outside, dares smile for even a moment, the Left pounces and declares her insensitive or performative. But if she stayed home, kept out of sight, or broke down publicly, they’d attack that too. There is no version of her grief they wouldn’t weaponize, because empathy isn’t part of their playbook — outrage and dehumanization are.

Earlier this week, the Left’s latest AWFL (Affluent White Female Liberal) influencer, podcaster Jennifer Welch, attacked Erika as a “grifter…just like her unrepentant racist, homophobic husband was” and said Erika “should be kicked to the curb.”

But as rotten as Welch’s behavior is, it’s John Fetterman — apparently the last remotely decent Democrat left standing — who once again had to scold his own party for their disgusting treatment of Erika:

It’s gross and dehumanizing to attack a widow with young children after just witnessing his public assassination. It shouldn’t be controversial to put our political views aside and extend the grace for a deeply traumatized family to grieve.

He explicitly attached a screenshot of a Fox News article discussing Welch, making it a direct jab at the disgusting lefty podcaster.

The Democratic Party is likely to challenge Fetterman in a primary, indicating they don’t seem to want a good person like him in their ranks, despite the fact that he votes in their favor 99 percent of the time – which tells you everthing about the kind of party Democrats want to be: The party of nasty, disgusting, petty, and crappy human beings.

I obviously don’t agree with hardly any of Fetterman’s political positions, but I have a newfound respect for him as a human being and as a politician who is legitimately trying to turn the temperature down in his own party. I also don’t think for one second he’s going to be successful, because as bad as losers like Welch already are, his party continues to attract disgusting people.
